Second Chance cats and dogs will be on hand to meet prospective adopters.

BE KIND TO ANIMALS CELEBRATION

The Porter County Animal Shelter is hosting their 16th Annual "Be Kind to Animals Celebration"  on Saturday, April 27, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Porter County Expo Center located at State Road 49 and Division Road in Valparaiso, Indiana. 

The event includes pet supply vendors, rescue groups, police canines, 
groomers, dog/agility trainers and veterinarians.  The public will also have the opportunity to view the dogs and cats Second Chance 4 Pets Network have available for adoption.

BLACK CAT STRUT 5K RUN/WALK

The Independent Cat Society will host their 3rd Annual Black Cat Strut 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, April 28, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Sunset Hill Farm County Park, 775 Meridian Road in Valparaiso, Indiana. 

In addition to the 5K Run, there will be a fun walk and a dog walk as well.  There will be food, vendors, and rescue groups.  The public will have the opportunity to view the dogs and cats Second Chance 4 Pets Network have available for adoption.

LAKE COUNTY PET EXPO

The 6th Annual Lake County Pet Expo will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. inside the Industrial Building at the Lake County Fairgrounds. The Lake County Fairgrounds is located at 889 S. Court Street in Crown Point, Indiana. 

The Expo will have pet supply vendors, dog trainers, groomers, local 
veterinarians, rescue groups and shelters.  The public will have the
opportunity  to view the dogs and cats Second Chance 4 Pets Network has available for  adoption. Second Chance apparel will also be available for sale.
